DescriptionThe Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing all activities related to warehousing operations including shipping, receiving, and inventory management. This role plans, implements, and monitors the day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure efficient and effective receipt, storage, and inventory of materials for manufacturing projects.Supervisory Responsibilities:

Develops a department strategic vision and Annual Goals to get to that levelDevelops a department capacity and staffing plan to support operational and strategic goalsHires and trains staff in assigned department.Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.Engages in all leadership trainings, meetings, and initiatives.Duties/Responsibilities:

Oversees the day-to-day activities of the warehouse including inventory control, shipping, receiving, and materials storage.Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution of warehouse management initiatives.Manage all materials inside Inventory controlled areas, tool crib and floor consumable stock binsMonitors warehouse performance to evaluate operations related to inventory integrity, shipping and receiving, cycle counts, and material storage.Develop and implement warehouse strategies to ensure efficient and effective management of incoming and outgoing materials, inventory control processes, and inventory accuracy.Develop warehouse operations improvements by analyzing process workflow, staff allocation, space, and equipment.Develop plan to organize the warehouse bins and locations and pick process to optimize efficiency and space utilizationReviews inventory of product in warehouse against anticipated delivery and shipping schedules to minimize material handling and maximize space and efficiency.Make suggestions for improvement to inventory and receiving processes; update work instructions as needed.Performs write-offs on damaged or obsolete inventory to reflect accurate value of inventory.Establishes procedures for conducting and valuing year-end physical inventory.Presents monthly and quarterly results for strategic and operational goalsApprove cycle counts and receiving reversal.Performs other related duties as assigned.Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Strong knowledge of warehouse related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and production planning.Prior experience with WMS and other ERP as part of user or implementation teamStrong decision making and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational and planning skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with all levels of management and staff.Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to train, motivate, and lead a high-performing team.Proficient with inventory reporting systems.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.Experience/Education:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field required; relevant experience may be substituted for education.Eight years of experience in materials control field required.At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory role required.Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the production floor.Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time.Must be able to traverse the production floor as needed.Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor.
