Assistant Store Manager

What You’ll Do:Guest Experience

Monitor and analyzes the customer service provided by team members. Offers feedback and coaching.

Greet guests and offers assistance with products and services.

Model and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful guest experience, including interpersonal habits and Curaleaf service traits.

Resolve guest complaints and helps respond to guests’ special needs.

Operations

Supervise operation of the store and team members, opening/closing/changing shifts, task delegation and scheduling team members

Supervise the control of the store money including register counts, withdraws from the bank, armored car pickups, safe deposits, change orders and oversees all aspects of bookkeeping including ledger, invoices, cash reports and time records.

Learn to analyze inventory trends and supervises inventory management, including ordering items, keeping stock, and leveraging company resources to avoid outs and overstock.

Supervise receiving, stocking, pricing, returning, and transferring of merchandise.

Ensure that store/grounds are clean and presentable; manages repair and maintenance; responds to emergencies.

Supervise operations of assigned location including strict compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Maintain knowledge of all computer and technology systems and software (e.g. registers, LeafLogix, etc.). Ensures response to all systems problems by contacting information technology support and seeking solutions.

Complies with all company policies and procedures; maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.

Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned, including assisting team members as needed.

Willing to travel to other locations for training and/or coverage

Daily Planning and Execution

Assign daily operational responsibilities and tasks and sets expectations for store team members

Business Performance Management

Receive exposure to analysis of financial and performance data for the store.

Review and analyze asset protection data and develops and implements action plans to reduce loss.

People and Performance Management

Manage team member performance by assigning responsibilities, setting goals and expectations, observing performance, providing feedback and giving recognition. Manages team member career progression.

Ensure training of team members; provides coaching and mentoring.

Issue constructive discipline and makes discipline recommendations.

Promote teamwork and motivates team members by establishing expectations, tracking results, showing enthusiasm and sharing the vision.

Ensure compliance with all corporate policies, applicable employment laws, and is consistently fair in the treatment of all team members.

Develop and delivers performance management for direct supervises.

Training and Personal Development

Participate in the company and on-the-job training to improve skills and productivity and attends training requested by the Store Manager and other company leaders

Follow performance improvement plans offered by Store Manager and other company leaders

Seek self-development by monitoring own performance, setting high personal standards, learning about the fields of retail and management, seeking best practices.

Communications

Communicate regularly with team members through one-on-one discussions, group meetings, soliciting input, answering questions, and ensuring communication are open between management and non-management team members.

Assist Store Manager in planning and attending community events.

What You’ll Bring:

High School Diploma/GED

1 year of retail supervisory experience.

Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Willingness to work flexible schedule including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.

Experience working in a heavily regulated industry necessary

Strong leadership skills, ability to build and manage teams

Strong salesmanship skills. Experience in driving revenue.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree/GED and 1 year of retail supervisory experience.

Prior retail supervision experience.
