Certified Medical Assistant - Ingersoll Urgent Care Des Moines, Iowa Full-time Shifts: 2 12's / 2 8's and one weekend a month Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. Comprehensive benefits package. Shift differential for evening/weekend hours. $5,000.00 Sign-on Bonus for External Candidates! Responsibilities: We are seeing a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Urgent Care team. As a Medical Assistant in our fast-paced Urgent Care facility, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. Greet and prepare patients for examination, including taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and preparing exam rooms. Assist healthcare providers during medical procedures, examinations, and minor surgical interventions. Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood draws, urinalysis, and point-of-care testing. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by healthcare providers. Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR) and patient charts. Handle patient inquiries, schedule appointments, and coordinate referrals as needed. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care. Qualifications:
Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinic environment and prioritize tasks.
