Senior Property Accountant

Hybrid role, Tuesday through Thursday in office.Compensation: $100-115,000 base + discretionary bonus.We are seeking a Senior Accountant—Corporate Accounting at our headquarters, located in Pasadena, CA. The incumbent will be a highly skilled individual with strong technical accounting background who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative team-centric environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This role will be responsible for performing accounting duties for a portfolio of commercial real estate assets and supporting the portfolio asset services team, including but not limited to the following:General Ledger Accounting:
Analyze Property Income Statements and Balance Sheets’ monthly trends and prepare fluctuations for the assigned portfolio.Prepare tenant recovery and rental revenue variance explanations for the assigned portfolio.Perform month-end close processes such as reconciliations, journal entries, and approval of invoices.Financial Analysis and Operational Support:
Act as a liaison between Accounting and the Asset Services teams to provide Accounting and financial analyses support.Collaborate with regional teams to assist with the preparation of annual operating budget and CAM reconciliations.Assist with the preparation of consolidated reporting package for management review.Prepare financial analyses to support the Company’s 10Q/10K/Supplemental SEC filings.Participate in ad-hoc projects such as process improvement projects, internal and external audit requests, department goals and initiatives, and other special projects.Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.CPA preferred.2 + years of Accounting experience required.Public Accounting experience is highly preferred.Public commercial real estate experience preferred.Proficient in US GAAP Accounting— (Lease Accounting and Project Cost Accounting is a plus).Experience with JDE is a plus.Detail-oriented, strong analytical and communications skills.Proficient in business related software: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.Experience working in a large team environment and collaboration across many groups preferred.Benefits:
