We value customer obsession, innovation, openness, bias towards action, and speed and we are looking to add a seasoned enterprise account executive to our tight-knit and energetic sales team.Position Summary:Platform9 is looking for a talented, energetic, and driven individual to join our team as a Sales Development Representative (SDR). This position will provide lead development support to the sales organization through the development of qualified meetings that result in closed-won business. You will be responsible for processing inbound sales inquiries and marketing qualified leads as well as outbound calling on our Target Account List. You will be relationship oriented, building rapport with contacts while exhibiting a consultative approach that delivers valuable insights as part of your engagement, while identifying opportunities that meet the minimum qualification criteria for sales and understanding of where the prospect is in the buying cycle. This position will work closely with the Platform9 sales and marketing teams to ensure that the leads provided to sales are qualified correctly, and progressing through the sales funnel. This involves gathering key information to update Hubspot and assigning next steps for sales or marketing nurture paths. The individual will be required to work with a very high throughput of leads and data flow. The Sales Development Representative may also be called upon to support a variety of sales/marketing programs by managing call campaigns to drive registration and attendance for events, sometimes coordinating with external partners.Responsibilities:

Deliver extraordinary customer relationshipsFollow up on marketing leads (both inbound inquiries and marketing qualified leads, as well as perform outbound sales activities such as cold calling, lead follow-up, and opportunity qualifications in a specified territory)Meet or exceed activity metrics for outbound calls, appointments set, opportunities added and prospecting timeResearch accounts to understand need, enable effective follow up, and generate interestSuccessfully manage and overcome prospect objectionsProvide opportunities to the sales team; work closely with sales reps as necessary regarding the opportunitiesBuild relationships and effectively communicate with territory sales team and managementProactively look for opportunities to improve, optimize outbound lead managementRespect and expect accountabilityQualifications:

College Degree or equivalent3+ years SDR experience with value-based selling skillsDomain background with VMWare virtualization solutions a strong bonusStrong verbal selling skills over the phone and emailStrong written and verbal communication skillsProfessional, determined, and results orientedPositive attitude, team oriented, and a self-starterAbility to accurately determine lead qualifications based upon established criteriaAbility to learn key software applicationsTeam player with strong people management and cross-functional project leadership skillsHighly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment and is readily adaptable to changing market and organizational requirementsBenefits and Perks:Employees today are looking for companies that truly care and recognise their whole person.
