Crisis Services is located in the newest building on the DuPage County Campus in Wheaton and provides 24/7 crisis mental health services to county residents who may be experiencing a psychiatric crisis or are in need of additional support for symptoms of mental illness. to learn more about our program.This full-time position works Sunday through Wednesday, from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM.Can you say benefits?

This position offers a full DuPage County benefit package which includes:12 paid holidays3 weeks of paid vacation per yearPaid sick timePension eligible position which is like having a guaranteed retirement savings planEligibility for the Federal Student Loan Forgiveness ProgramResponsibilities:Provides emergency and crisis intervention services to individuals and families, both face to face, and via telephone/video.Conducts crisis evaluations on-site.Completes client care tasks associated with the 12-bed Crisis Residential unit on-site.May conduct crisis evaluations in the community (home, hospitals) for children, adolescents, and adults to assess risk and determine recommendations for client care. Referral sources include: CARES/SASS, law enforcement, hospital settings, and families/individuals.Provides and follows-up on referral and community resource linkage.Maintains required training, licensure, and/or certification.Consults with staff concerning client and program issues and provides other case management services.Works collaboratively with community providers.Completes required documentation within established timeframes.Uses an Electronic Client Record and additional call management software.Demonstrates independent judgment.Participates in emergency response activities as assigned.Candidates for consideration require either a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field and two years of experience working with the chronically mentally ill population; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.DuPage County Health Department is an equal-opportunity employer.
