Crisis Services is located in the newest building on the DuPage County Campus in Wheaton and provides 24/7 crisis mental health services to county residents who may be experiencing a psychiatric crisis or are in need of additional support for symptoms of mental illness. to learn more about our program.This full-time position will work Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Bachelor's degreed candidates can be considered for this position.Can you say benefits? This position offers a full, DuPage County, benefit package which includes:12 paid holidays3 weeks of paid vacation per yearPaid sick timePension eligible positionEligibility for the Federal Student Loan Forgiveness ProgramResponsibilities:Conducts Crisis Evaluations in a variety of community settings, from multiple referral sources for children, adolescents and adults to assess risk and determine recommendations for client care. Referral sources include CARES/SASS, law enforcement, hospital settings, and individuals.Provides emergency and crisis intervention services to individuals and families, both face to face and via telephone/video.Provides and follows-up on referral and community resource linkage.Maintains required training, licensure and/or certification.Consults with staff concerning client and program issues and provides other case management services.Works collaboratively with community providers.Completion of required documentation within established timeframes.Use of an Electronic Client Record, and additional call management software.Demonstrates independent judgment and discretion in making position related decisions.Participates in team meetings to assess clients’ progress.Participates in emergency response activities as assigned.Minimum Requirements:Candidates for consideration require either a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field and two years of experience working with chronically mentally ill population; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.DuPage County Health Department is an equal-opportunity employer.
