Our client, a mission-based nonprofit, is seeking a Meeting Sales and Sponsorship Specialist to support their meetings division.

Title: Meeting Sales and Sponsorship Specialist

Type: Contract (Fully Onsite)

Rate/Salary: $20-$23 per hour

Candidate profile and qualifications

Experience

: Two-four (2-4) years of experience in meetings, fulfillment and sales within association experience

Technical Skills

: Proficient in Informz, Adobe, Freeman passport Signage Database, MapYourShow, Cadmium, Core-Apps, CMR systems, or other Exhibitor platforms

Soft Skills

: Attentive to Detail, Go Getter, Professional, Open to Learn, and Communicative

Education

: Bachelors Preferred, Relevant Experience can Compensate

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Exhibits, Sponsorships, and Advertising

Develop, sell, and manage exhibit booths, sponsorships, and advertising.

Prospect and qualify new sponsors and exhibitors, emphasizing retention.

Design exhibit floor plans to maximize booth sales.

Manage exhibit sales, assignments, floor plan changes, customer service, and payment processes.

Maintain and manage the exhibit sales prospect list and foster relationships with current and prospective exhibitors.

Create and manage sponsorship value, sales, fulfillment, and evaluations.

Develop service kits and handle exhibitor inquiries.

Collect and manage graphics and branding materials.

Liaise with exhibit hall logistics vendors.

Onsite Responsibilities

Oversee setup and teardown of the exhibit hall.

Coordinate exhibitor setup, registration, and onsite sales re-signing.

Act as a liaison between exhibitors, vendors, and the General Service Contractor (GSC).

Confirm placement of branding, signage, and sponsorship locations.

Support the Director of Meetings and Events and assist the Meetings and Operations Coordinator as needed.

Logistics

Develop and manage the exhibitor registration website and mobile app.

Liaise between registration company, online database vendors, and the organization.

Create and update website content for sales, marketing, and advertising.

Manage invoicing and collections for sales, sponsorships, and advertising.

Create and execute communications with exhibitors.

Design and coordinate promotional materials and signage.
