Job Title:
Full Time/Part Time Residential CounselorJob Duties/Responsibilities:Energetic, committed persons needed to provide direct care for youth in a facility for runaway, homeless, street, emergency foster care, and long-term residential care. Responsibilities include facilitating supervision, recreational activities, life skills coaching/training, and day-to-day shelter/residential management (including meal prep and residential maintenance) in Open House Emergency Youth Shelter & Residential Services for children and youth, ages 6-18.Schedule:
Position is part-time and includes a mandatory monthly Residential Team meeting. Schedule is ideal for college/graduate students. 16 hours of on-the-job training provided. Drug screen, national/state criminal record, NC Health Care AND Sex Offender Registry, and NC DSS Responsible Individual List Checks are REQUIRED.Qualifications:Applicants must be 21 years or olderFour (4) year college/university degree in human services or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experienceOne year of experience in counseling or working with at-risk youthCurrent North Carolina Driver’s license with evidence of good driving recordCurrent CPR/First Aid Certification OR ability to obtain
