Mills House is a community-based group home providing 24-hour staffing and therapeutic support for 5 boys aged 14-21 who have experienced serious emotional and behavioral challenges. The program emphasizes skill development for successful living outside institutional settings through participation in community activities.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Understand child development relevant to the age group and adjust expectations accordingly.Support family connections by facilitating visits and planned contacts.Build and maintain positive relationships with youth through trust and engagement.Teach and support a range of skills including emotional regulation and daily living activities.Understand complex trauma and its effects on youth behavior.Contribute to a safe and nurturing home environment.Assist and supervise youth in daily routines and activities.Transport youth when necessary.QUALIFICATIONS:Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associates degree or 2 years of college with minimum 2 years of relevant experience.Experience:
Substantial youth/adolescent experience required.Licensure/Certification/Registration:
