Substance Screening Treatment Recovery for Youth (SSTRY) provides outpatient substance abuse treatment by focusing on the rewards of staying substance-free and teaching teens new ways of handling life's problems.ABOUT THE POSITION:

Bilingual Recovery Support SpecialistAre you passionate about substance abuse treatment and making a lifelong impact on teens and their families?Maintains contact with and consults with relevant collaborative parties.Participates as a full member of the program and is responsible for maintaining client records.Supportive team environment and inclusive work culture.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAdministers Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) in CHR offices, and in the community in both Spanish and English, as needed.Conduct toxicology screenings for clients.Perform ACC duties and responsibilities in the community.Increase client insight/awareness of substance use problems and motivation to seek treatment.Provides documentation related to assessment.Uses Motivational Interventions to assist clients in meeting their goals and moving along their path to recovery.Support client with linking and engaging with natural and community supports.Collaborates with DCF workers and other stakeholders around assessment, ACC and ongoing participation.Uses EMR to document all services and contacts with clients, collateral contacts and appointments.Attends all model required meetings and trainings along with coaching calls and agency trainings.Assists other team members as appropriate.Additional duties as required.QUALIFICATIONS:Language:

Fluent in Spanish and EnglishEducation:

Bachelor’s degree in mental health related fieldExperience:

At least two (2) years’ experience in a substance use setting. Lived experience can substitute for half of this requirement. Excellent verbal communication skills, computer literacy.Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Valid driver’s license.Training:
