The goal of IPV is to establish a comprehensive response to intimate partner violence that offers meaningful and sustainable help to families that is safe, respectful, culturally relevant and responsive to the unique strengths and concerns of the family. This service provides a supportive service array of assessments, interventions and linkages to services to address the needs of families impacted by intimate partner violence.About the Position:

To engage and link families to necessary supports in the community and assist families in attaining them by:Providing direct in-home and office-based case planning supportResponding effectively to the acute needs of new referrals and ongoing coordination of careWorking on a team of IPV and community providers to help the family achieve their treatment and case management goalsDuties & Responsibilities:Provides support to families and connect them to needed resources in their community (i.e., housing, financial aid, food, shelter, parenting supports)Advocate for the needs of the family to all parties involvedAssess, provide and/or link to transportationAttend meetings with family membersParticipates in trainings and meetings and regularly attends supervisionIdentifies culturally appropriate resources for families within their communitiesOutreach efforts to facilitate referrals through the system of care, promote family involvement and promote other family initiativesProvides services to families specifically related to Intimate Partner Violence (i.e., ongoing in-home safety planning, assessments of impact of IPV on children, and working collaboratively with DCF and local agencies to relocate/find housing for family members affected by IPV)Additional duties as requiredQualifications:Education:

BA in human services requiredExperience:

At least three (3) years experience working with families and knowledgeable about community resources and services preferred. Experience in advocacy work on behalf of children and families preferred. Experience with Intimate Partner Violence preferred.Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Valid current driver’s license and must own vehicle to drive regularly to home visits. Demonstrated understanding of the Wraparound process preferred.Training:

Participate in agency required training and additional training recommended by supervisor.Additional Qualifications:

Bilingual (Spanish speaking) requiredCompensation:
