Visitor Coordinator
Job Description:
The Visitor Coordinator shall provide general visitor and customer service support to include general visitor services, Welcome Desk Operations, visitor complaint resolution, timed ticketing operations, group reservation management, disability accommodations, Agency programming, visitor surveys, training development, inquiry support, master calendar management, and writing the volunteer newsletter.

Responsibilities:
The Visitor Coordinator shall be professional at all times, they must dress in accordance with the Agency’s dress code, and act in a manner appropriate with their job duties and in a manner appropriate in their role. The Contract personnel shall always conduct themselves in a proper, efficient, courteous, and businesslike manner.
Visitor Coordinator shall provide support at the Agency’s welcome desk, greeting visitors, answering basic questions about the Agency, providing wayfinding services and referring visitors to the appropriate staff. This position shall assist with answering basic call inquiries and routing others to the appropriate staff. They shall assist with programming and special events in areas such as helping set up or tear down equipment (lifting equipment up to 50 pounds), providing capacity management services (queue management) and parking management services, and facilitating event execution.
Visitor Coordinator shall work diligently to assist visitors quickly and professionally to resolve all complaints or issues. This position shall exercise judgment, informed by Agency provided training, to address the situation.
Visitor Coordinator shall operate the timed ticketing system and tasks include scanning tickets, issuing tickets, assisting visitors with ticket issues, and utilizing the timed ticketing vendor’s online system in support of standard Agency hours and events outside of normal operating hours.
Visitor Coordinator shall schedule group reservations, events and special programs on the Agency’s master calendar. Tasks include contacting groups to verify reservation arrangements, meeting groups upon arrival and providing an escort for ticketing, security, and Agency orientation.
Visitor Coordinator maintains accountability of disability accommodation equipment to include, but not limited to, wheelchairs, assisted listening devices, audio tour content, written content, braille guides, and anxiety coping devices. They will also inform appropriate government staff of any damaged, lost or stolen equipment.
Visitor Coordinator shall develop monthly Special Emphasis Programming (SEP) in support of the Agency’s overall programming objectives. Other tasks include development of written program materials, program outreach, program planning, set up, tear down and facilitation of event execution for both their event and other SEPs executed by the Agency.
Visitor Coordinator shall also complete other duties as assigned to include Visitor Surveys, Training Development, Inquiry Support and Master Calendar Management.
Qualifications
Education: Minimum of a BA or BS in Liberal Studies, History, Agency Studies, American Studies, Art History or related field as approved by the COR.
At least three years’ experience working in Agency or customer service driven positions.
Experience, education or training in at least four of the following 8 categories:
Visitor services
Complaint resolution
Timed ticketing systems
Group reservation management
Disability accommodations and ADA Compliance
Agency programming
Visitor surveys
Training development
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
Have a valid driver’s license.
Be citizens of the United States or have a valid U.S. work permit.
Pass agency background check.
