Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector (NGAS) has an opening for a Manager Industrial Security 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Security organization. This leadership role is located at Redondo Beach, CA.
The Manager Industrial Security 2 will be responsible for developing and administering security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Responsibilities include:
Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations.
Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies.
Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials.
Develops and implements security education programs. Oversees internal security audits. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive actions to be taken.
Provides direction to security team members to assist with the execution of their statement of work. Assists with team members' professional development and growth.
Leads a team of security professionals to ensure consistent application of the leadership characteristics expected of all employees within the organization.
Ensures employee engagement across the team.
Collaborates across teams within the Security organization.
Provides leadership, guidance, and professional development/mentoring to professionals at all levels.
Develops and implements security policy and standards across the program.
Ensures all program performance objectives, as well as key milestones and deliverables, are met.
Manages a security budget within an established target.
Manages program security compliance and operations across multiple functions - PHYSEC, COMSEC, PERSEC, Investigations, and Document Control Management.
This position will offer a 1st shift, 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off, phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment. We are looking for self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented people to help us grow our services.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree AND 6+ years of experience in Security within the Aircraft, Aerospace, Manufacturing Industries, or Military-related experience OR Master’s Degree AND 4+ years of experience in Security within the Aircraft, Aerospace, Manufacturing Industries, or Military-related experience OR High School Diploma AND 10+ years of experience in Security within the Aircraft, Aerospace, Manufacturing Industries, or Military-related experience.
Minimum of 2 Years of management, supervisor, or other demonstrated leadership experience.
Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance that is in-scope granted or renewed in the last 5 years and the ability to obtain special program access.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and familiarity with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), as well as DoD Manuals, and other US Government security manuals.
Ability to execute Security and Program Management concepts.
Experience managing multiple function teams across the program enterprise.
Excellent communication, writing, and organization skills, enabling effective communications with team members, fellow employees, and government officials.
Ability to work in a team environment with minimal oversight.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to interact with internal/external customers.
Salary Range:
$125,500 - $188,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
