DIRECTOR OF SALES

Join Obsidian as Director of Sales and lead our drive to become Colorado's foremost provider of PEO services. You will oversee the development of a high-performing sales team, refining processes to ensure consistent, predictable sales outcomes that support Obsidian's growth objectives. Your role includes building, training and leading our new industry sales team to establish deep client relationships in targeted sectors.

Success will be measured by your team's ability to consistently secure new business, achieve revenue targets, and maintain high client satisfaction. You'll spend the majority of your time coaching and supporting your team in sales activities, optimizing strategies, and streamlining administrative processes to maximize efficiency and sales effectiveness. You will manage Sales leaders, in addition to initially managing some sales ICs directly.

As Director of Sales, you will bring with you years of related sales management experience, particularly within the PEO space. With your ability to build and inspire teams, and drive results you will foster a team environment of high performance that will position ObsidianHR for future scalable success.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM

5-7+ years of sales people leadership experience, ideally coupled with PEO/HCM experience

Demonstrated performance in building a team of BDMs, and developing talent

Experience in crafting and delivering a sales training program

Ability to develop quantitative and qualitative reporting to identify strengths and weaknesses of team members

The base compensation for this position is $160,000 to $200,000 annualized depending on experience and qualifications. This role is eligible for an additional compensation incentive in the form of performance based commissions/bonuses. The anticipated OTE will be $250,000 - $300,000 annually when performing within the target range.

This is a hybrid position, with some work days/week being performed from our office in Denver. To ensure effective collaboration and alignment with our team's workflow, we have a preference for candidates who are based in or willing to relocate to Denver.
