Reporting to the Associate Vice President (AVP) of University Communications and Marketing (UCM), the Communications and Marketing Specialist reinforces Tulane’s brand identity through writing, editing, and reviewing copy for reports, websites, and executive-level emails to the university community. They provide project management planning and coordination necessary to support the AVP and the Vice President (VP) of UCM in tracking and achieving progress toward UCM goals. The Communications and Marketing Specialist ensures timely, accurate, and high-quality delivery of projects across UCM teams. They are responsible for ensuring that cross-team projects are closely coordinated, requirements and dependencies are identified and fulfilled, and obstacles are identified and addressed as they arise. The Communications and Marketing Specialist also provides training, support, and troubleshooting for users of the unit’s project management tools.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Outstanding organizational and project management skills.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work under deadline pressure with internal and external stakeholders.Knowledge and experience working with project management software tools.Ability to train, support, and troubleshoot issues for colleagues using project management tools.Ability to work effectively in a team.Required Education and/or Experience

2 years of experience managing multi-stakeholder projects, preferably in communications and marketing.2 years of experience writing, editing, and reviewing high-level publications and reports.Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity and experience managing communications and marketing projects.Proficiency in preparing reports and presentations.Experience with AirTable, Box, and Microsoft Suite.Compensation Information
