The Origination Manager will play an integral role in successfully contracting the Strata Clean Energy (Strata) national solar and battery storage development portfolio. The candidate will assist in the marketing and negotiation of power contracts for large power users and load-serving entities. This position will focus on fostering customer relationships and identifying emerging market opportunities across multiple regions of the United States.

Essential Duties, Skills and Responsibilities:
General: Support the commercialization of Strata's development portfolio via the execution of PPAs, tolling agreements and other power offtake contracts. When needed, support project acquisitions and divestitures of development stage assets. Customers: Support the identification and establishment of key relationships with utility, commercial and industrial customers, advisors, consultants, and other energy stakeholders. Contracts: Support the negotiation of power offtake contracts, interfacing with legal counsel and contract counterparties. Bidding: Lead RFP/RFI offers and bi-lateral power proposals, manage an RFP calendar with all relevant opportunities, create materials to showcase Strata and projects to new relationships. Presentations: Support the creation of investment committee memorandum for presentation to Strata leadership detailing project commercialization strategy. Research: Research and maintain an ongoing understanding of utility IRPs, state RPS mandates, and other regulatory and commercial power trends. Regularly assemble and present research products and potential opportunities to internal stakeholders. Coordination: Interface with Development, Development Engineering, Interconnection, Legal, Policy, Project Finance, EPC, and executive team members to successfully commercialize projects. Travel: Travel to meet with customers, key stakeholders, and to attend industry conferences Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience; master's degree preferred. A minimum of four (4) years of experience in renewables project origination, development, or power trading; experience in MISO, PJM, ISONE, CAISO, or broader WECC is highly preferred. Relevant experience in power procurement, renewable energy consulting, and renewable energy finance will be considered. Knowledge and understanding of the policy, regulatory and competitive dynamics that drive revenue and market access in one or more of these markets: MISO, PJM, ISONE, CAISO, AZ, or broader WECC is preferred. Strong relationship management skills, and track record of success at managing internal and external technical experts. Strong process and task tracking skills, and able to flexibly manage work across multiple distinct projects. Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, attention to detail and accountability. Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment. Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, proficiency in using MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
Work is performed primarily in an office environment with some tasks assigned at outdoor solar plant sites. Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the entire duration of a workday.
