Pay Range: $27.00 - $30.00 Hourly

Our organization is committed to maintaining a positive and engaging workplace for all employees.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe Volunteer Data Analyst will be responsible for assisting the volunteer department with event coordination, managing the department’s database, troubleshooting database inquiries, ensuring the quality and accuracy of data, and developing reports. This position will be responsible for monitoring, organizing, and inputting accurate information into our volunteer database. The position also plays a key role in reporting the data to internal and external departments.

WHAT YOU’LL DOData Analysis and Reporting:

Collect, interpret, clean and analyze data to provide ongoing reports and dashboards to organizational leaders. Assess volunteer and staff interaction with the database to identify opportunities for improvement, recommend modifications, and develop policies for data-keeping. Serve as subject matter expert and point person for data analysis tools and processes. The Analyst will work closely with Volunteer Engagement Coordinators on overseeing check-in for volunteer events, troubleshooting any inquiries with our platform, and implementing new strategies to reduce redundancies and increase the accuracy of the database.Process Improvement:

The position of the Volunteer Data Analyst will be responsible to serve as the liaison between volunteers and staff of diverse ethnic backgrounds. Train Volunteer Engagement Coordinators regarding user end use and processes of the database. Ensure all aspects of implementation and data-keeping are completed and accurate. Provide guidance to management regarding questions about report data and results. Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the platform and work with internal and external partners on the database.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Information Management, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related.Minimum 1-2 years experience as a Data Analyst or in a related field; or equivalent combination of experience and education.Experience with “Service” volunteer database program preferred or similar tracking database.Ability to explain and present complex information in a way that is easily understood to a wide variety of audiences.Fluency and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Experience in volunteer coordination or event management is desired.Exposure to warehouse elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, or cold.Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, and occasionally lift up to 35 pounds.Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: organizing data, extensive reading & Repetitive movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires strong multitasking skills, excellent time management, and a self-starter mentality.Bilingual, English/Spanish or other languages preferred, but not required.Flexible to occasionally work early-morning and evening hours. Flexible to commute to various volunteer locations per departmental needs.Valid CA Driver’s License and access to a reliable and insured vehicle. Required to travel within Los Angeles County.
