To fulfill our mission, we source and acquire nutritious food and other products and distribute them to people experiencing nutrition insecurity through our partner agency network and directly through programs; energize the community to get involved and support hunger relief; and conduct hunger and nutrition education and awareness campaigns and advocate for public policies that benefit the people we serve.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThis is the principle function of the Financial Analyst II: will gather and interpret financial information effectively and form data into meaningful and concise analyses while considering a broad range of interdependent issues. In addition, the Financial Analyst II identifies areas for change and makes recommendations while managing multiple demands and competing priorities. Regularly interacts with cross-functional teams throughout the organization, exercises good judgment, stays focused on results, and ensures the integrity of financial reporting in a fast-paced dynamic environment.WHAT YOU’LL DOReporting and Analysis:

Prepare Month-, Quarter-, and Year-end reporting to support Finance & Operations performance analysis. Prepare standardized and ad hoc operational & financial performance reports. Prepare or ensure the preparation of various reports required by Federal, State, and local agencies and management. Prepares and updates production and delivery schedules, ensuring reports are completed in a timely manner.Financial Planning and Monitoring:

Assists in oversight/tracking of budget expenditures, including preparing & tracking invoices, transfer requests, purchase orders, contract agreements, etc. Supports the creation of the annual inventory budget, forecasts, and projections. Provides sound recommendations for operational and financial planning through financial review, analysis, monitoring, reconciliation, and maintenance of assigned financial accounts, programs, and activities.Cross-Departmental Coordination:

Coordinates activities between finance and other departments for questions and issues related to program planning and control or other financial issues. Cross-departmental coordination of accuracy and enhancements to inventory & accounting processes and database structure. Acts as backup to Donor Designated Fund Report and programmatic reporting/budgeting. Acts as a backup to the Staff Accountant.Technical Development and Support:

Develop and provide technical and functional specifications for the development of critical decision support tools to meet customer key requirements.
