Job DescriptionYour RoleThe Clinical Pharmacy Operations team supports the development, implementation, coordination, and assessment of pharmacy initiatives with the goal of providing high quality and affordable care to Blue Shield of California’s members. The Business Analyst, Experienced will report to the Senior Pharmacist Manager of Clinical Pharmacy Operations team. In this role you will interpret Clinical Pharmacy Program processes using data from multiple sources and provide analysis to management and other stakeholders.Your WorkIn this role, you will:Provide analytical support through the analysis and interpretation of data in support of cross-functional business operations.Analyze actual results against plan and forecast and recommend interventions where appropriate.Develop, prepare and analyze reports for management review, and to present at various levels of management.Provide performance monitoring, maintain KPI dashboards, and make recommendations to increase operational efficiency where appropriate.Solicit and define business requirements, build business cases for new business initiatives including cost/benefit analysis.Contribute to annual operating plans, capital budgets and forecasts.Be a subject matter expert in relevant areas of work and collaborate with internal and external partners to gain alignment.Support the development or modification of Clinical Pharmacy Program processes, including analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing systems.Work independently on complex projects/assignments with minimal oversight.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsYour Knowledge and ExperienceRequires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.Requires at least 3 years of prior relevant experience.Minimum 3 years of pharmacy experience in managed care preferred.Requires intermediate to advanced level skill and experience with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).Demonstrates solid oral and written communication skills.Demonstrate experience working in a fast-paced environment.Pay Range:The pay range for this role is: $66,770.00 to $93,390.00 for California.About The TeamBlue Shield of California’s mission is to ensure all Californians have access to high-quality health care at a sustainably affordable price.
