Job DescriptionYour RoleThe Network Management team is responsible for the development and maintenance of all provider networks, including vendor and Plan to Plan relationships necessary to provide our members and clients with access to quality, affordable health care services. The Business Analyst, Consultant will report to the SR Manager, Provider Services. In this role, you will support Blue Shield’s Behavioral Health and selective Ancillary programs including supporting Plan to Plan and vendor operations.Your WorkIn this role, you will:Provide highly complex analytical support through the analysis and interpretation of data in support of cross-functional business operations.Lead the development of annual operating plans, capital budgets and forecasts, and build business cases for new business initiatives (cost/benefit analysis).Develop, prepare, and analyze reports with highly complex analysis and data for management review, and present to various levels of management.Define business requirements and provide analysis to increase operational efficiency.Provide analytical support for multiple, highly complex cross-functional projects simultaneously, establish work plans and timelines, and coordinate with internal and external resources.Develop and conduct evaluations and studies within limited time frames and produce analyses that are easy for non-technical persons to understand.Assist in identifying systems and operational problems and recommend solutions and changes to streamline procedures for more effective reporting.Create and distribute routine and ad hoc reports for various departments.Develop root cause analyses and presentations per specs provided by team Director or manager.Lead audits of Plan-to-Plan provider data.QualificationsYour Knowledge and ExperienceRequires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.Requires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience.Prefers at least 7 years of experience in Behavioral Health managed care.Experience in analyzing Behavioral Health data, preparing summary reports for presentation.Experience with Behavioral Health data review process to ensure accuracy and integrity of data reports to meet regulatory and operational requirements.Knowledge of Behavioral Health data audits.Pay RangeThe pay range for this role is: $96,470.00 to $144,760.00 for California.NotePlease note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade.
