Job Description

The Operational Governance team provides project support, operational analysis, and complex process management support for operational teams within Blue Shield of California’s Installation & Billing department. The Business Analyst, Experienced will report to the Program Manager. In this role you will review process performance and manage reporting related to key metrics, perform root cause analysis for issues and process trends, and support oversight of the automated processes and available tools. This role will also provide support for projects impacting billing, payment, and output production processes through requirements solicitation, impact analysis, resource prioritization, operational readiness, benefit analysis, and post-implementation validation to ensure successful outcomes.

Your Work

In this role, you will:Provide analytical support through the analysis and interpretation of data in support of cross-functional business operationsContribute to annual operating plans, capital budgets and forecasts, and build business cases for new business initiatives (cost/benefit analysis)Develop, prepare and analyze reports for management review, and present to various levels of managementDefine business requirements and provide analysis to increase operational efficiencyAnalyze actual results against plan and forecast and recommend interventions where appropriateDevelop as-is process documentation using industry standards and appropriate process mapping tools (i.e. Visio, Provision)Co-facilitate portions of process sessions using proven facilitation techniques and incorporating business process and design knowledgeMaintain online repository of materials in a standardized format for consumption across the enterpriseExecute on control plans, reporting actual results against forecastMay be responsible for BPM functional duties such as reporting and SharePoint administrationQualifications

Your Knowledge and Experience

Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceRequires at least 3 years of prior relevant experienceYellow or Green Belt for Six Sigma or Lean from a creditable organization is desired1 year of advanced knowledge of automated systems in a production or operations environment. Excellent writing, presentation, and facilitation skills is desiredHighly developed math, analytical and problem-solving skills and use of analytical tools. Advanced hands-on experience using Excel including workbook creation and management, complex formatting and formulas, pivot tables and V-look ups. Hands-on experience using Tableau is desired.Hands-on experience with the FACETS systems preferredPay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $69,700.00 to $95,200.00 for California.Note:

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.About The Team
