A law firm in Denver, CO, is seeking a talented Patent Agent and Technical Specialist to join their dynamic intellectual property team. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Physics, along with substantial experience in patent application preparation and prosecution. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, with a focus on wireless telecommunication standards, signal processing, or computer networking.Duties:Prepare, file, and prosecute patent applications, including drafting claims, specifications, and responses to office actions.Conduct thorough technical analyses related to wireless telecommunication standards, signal processing, and computer networking.Perform prior art searches and provide detailed assessments of patentability and infringement risks.Collaborate with inventors, clients, and legal teams to develop and implement patent strategies.Offer expert advice on patent matters, including patentability assessments and freedom-to-operate analyses.Prepare and review various patent-related documents and correspondence with precision.Monitor and stay updated on changes in patent laws, industry trends, and technological advancements.Assist in patent litigation and other intellectual property disputes by providing technical expertise and support.Efficiently manage multiple patent projects, ensuring deadlines are met and work is completed to a high standard.Requirements:Minimum of 2 years of experience in patent prosecution.Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Physics.Demonstrated experience with patent application preparation and prosecution.Technical experience in wireless telecommunication standards, signal processing, or computer networking.Strong analytical and research skills with a keen eye for detail.Excellent organizational and time management abilities.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.Education:Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Physics.Certifications:Registration with the USPTO required.Skills:Expertise in patent application preparation and prosecution.Technical proficiency in wireless telecommunication standards, signal processing, or computer networking.Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in using patent and technical databases.Benefits Offered:Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses.Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) plan with employer contributions.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.Supportive and collaborative work environment.
