In addition to providing subject matter expertise, a primary goal of this position is to increase our equipment knowledge, identify emerging equipment trends for Industry 4.0 technologies, and drive this learning back through our underwriting, claims and new products business units with the ultimate goal of improving our overall business results.Education and ExperienceA Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.A Master’s degree in Engineering or an MBA is a plus.Registration as a Professional Engineer is a plus.15+ years experience working in design, manufacturing, construction, maintenance or operations is required.Experience or strong knowledge in a specific area to qualify as an expert.Experience writing technical papers, specifications, and evaluating mechanical equipment is a plus.Knowledge of the insurance industry is a plus.Knowledge and SkillsExcellent interpersonal skills.Communication skills (verbal and written).Knowledge of technical and non-technical aspects of Engineering.At The Hartford Steam Boiler, a subsidiary of Munich Re, we see Diversity and Inclusion as a solution to the challenges and opportunities all around us.
