About the Role:

As the Director of Operations, you will lead the manufacturing operations to deliver carbon-neutral light metal made from seawater to customers.

You will oversee all aspects of the production operations team, including building up a world-class facilities maintenance and EH&S program.

The Director of Operations will have the opportunity to deliver real products that address significant environmental and national security challenges.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary $120,000 to $170,000 (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Build asset care and maintenance processes to ensure process performance and reliability, including managing minor CAPEX and revenue engineering projects.

Develop and implement operational excellence, environmental health and safety, and facilities policies and procedures for efficient operation.

Define clear scopes of work for outsourced contractors, ensuring all external work meets standards and operational goals.

Lead a team of R&D technicians and operators responsible for operating, monitoring, and improving the existing pilot.

Collaborate with the Director of Engineering and Director of Technology to achieve technology goals.

Plan and oversee facilities to accommodate growth, including coordinating maintenance, repairs, upgrades of equipment, infrastructure, and leading procurement.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of practical experience in a similar manufacturing or industrial role, either in large-scale or start-up production.

Strong knowledge of facility operations, maintenance best practices, and safety regulations in California.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred: University degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
