The HR Director is a services and solutions provider to the operating group. They maintain and enhance the organizations human resources function by implementing and evaluating team member relations and human resources polices, programs and practices.ResponsibilitiesAnnually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of policies, procedures and practices on personnel mattersMaintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures complianceMaintains responsibility for compliance with federal and state legislation pertaining to all personnel mattersCommunicates changes in personnel policies and procedures and ensures proper compliance is followedAssists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of wage and salary programCoordinates or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separationConsults with legal counsel on personnel matters as appropriateOversees talent acquisition and onboarding processesWorks directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel mattersRecommends, evaluates and participates in staff developmentSupervises the staff of the human resource departmentParticipates on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilitiesCompetenciesCommunication Proficiency/CoachingOrganizational SkillsStaffingInitiativeThoroughnessTime ManagementManagement ProficiencyFinancial Planning and StrategyProcess ImprovementDecision MakingStrategic PlanningSupervisory ResponsibilityThis position has supervisory responsibilities upon hiring.
