Tesla is currently seeking skilled Technicians with expertise in quality and technical quality programs and processes within manufacturing. These professionals will play a vital role in the 4680 Cell quality operations program at Gigafactory Texas. As a Quality Technician, your responsibilities are to conduct daily operational objectives set forth by the Quality Team.
Shift: 5:30AM-5:30PM or 5:30PM-5:30AM Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday
ORShift: 5:30AM-5:30PM or 5:30PM-5:30AM Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday
Responsibilities
Operate in the 'inspect, diagnose and repair' mindsetWork closely with manufacturing, process, and quality teams to establish processes and procedures that will ensure consistently high qualityComprehend current production quality trends based on dashboards or from occurrences in the lineExecute timely corrective action for quality mitigation and containmentCollaborate with engineering teams to support investigation and perform daily audits aligned with control plansMonitor quality, determine the root cause of problems and implement corrective actions and countermeasuresAnalyze and disposition component and product defects as a member of the Material Review BoardRequirements
Ability to wear PPE, which may include a full-face respirator and coveralls as needed due to working with hazardous chemicalsExperienced in QS-9000, ISO/TS 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, DFMEA, PFMEA preferredExperience with extensive problem-solving and root cause analysisProficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and wiring diagramsAbility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ability to lift and sort parts of up to 30 pounds as neededMust have command of the English language, both written and verbalCompensation and BenefitsBenefits
