We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller to join our real estate development team in the low-income housing sector. This high-level role offers a competitive base salary of $160,000 per year plus a discretionary bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance with 80% health coverage, up to 4 weeks of vacation, 11 paid holidays, and a 401K match. The position is hybrid, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays, and in-office presence on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The Controller will play a crucial role in financial management, reporting, and team leadership, providing essential insights to senior leadership to drive sound corporate decisions.
Responsibilities:Lead the accounting team, overseeing financial management, reporting, and analysisTrack cash flows, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to leadershipDelegate and review team work, ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlinesProvide strategic insights and reporting to owners for informed decision-makingFocus primarily on corporate financials, with minimal involvement in construction or property accountingQualifications:
At least 7 years of Assistant Controller or Controller experience in residential multi-family real estate, ideally in low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) spaceProficiency with Yardi accounting software is preferredStrong leadership skills, confident and vocal in providing insights and reporting to senior leadershipBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferredExcellent organizational, analytical, and communication skillsVisit our website to learn more about our openings!
