The successful candidate will be responsible for leading underwriting efforts for new investments, facilities, and loan modifications. This includes the development of written proposals and presentations to the executive team. Building and maintaining client relationships is a key aspect of the role, as is the preparation of detailed portfolio analysis reports. The VP Credit Underwriter will also be involved in conducting thorough due diligence on new investment opportunities, which requires a deep analysis of products, financial statements, industry trends, and business plans. Collaboration with legal, corporate finance, marketing, and other teams is essential to drive business success. Applicants for the Vice President, Credit Underwriter position should have a Bachelor's degree in finance and/or economics, with 3-9 years of experience in private credit or investment banking. The role requires underwriting experience specific to healthcare tech and/or software investments, as well as advanced skills in MS Excel and financial modeling. The ideal candidate will be adept at working in a collaborative team environment and be able to effectively communicate and present to executive management.
