Location Description: Edith Macy Center is a conference center located in Briarcliff Manor, New York, 45 minutes from Manhattan. Edith Macy Center has more than 14,000 square feet of indoor conference space, 58 sleeping rooms, and we are situated among 405 wooded acres in the heart of Westchester County. Overview:
Edith Macy Center is seeking a creative, proactive 'go-getter' salesperson to promote and sell the services of the conference center to maximize room and banquet revenues through phone and email solicitation, in-person meetings and other sales activities. You'll serve as the hotel representative to existing and prospective clients who are seeking event, meeting, team building and retreat spaces. You will actively sell to maximize revenue opportunities and be responsible for driving customer & guest loyalty by delivering an excellent experience throughout each customer/guest interaction. The Sales Manager qualifies and responds to sales inquiries in a timely manner and develops new business opportunities by researching prospects utilizing sales tools such as Delphi, Cvent and more. A successful candidate will have proven track record of achieving sales goals and have a proven record of being a team player. They will be open to learning and leading by example, while always responding in a professional and courteous manner to clients, gues and the team. Salary range is $62,400-$68k plus a Sales Incentive Plan paid quarterly based on booking production up to an additional 20% of salary. Qualifications: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. 3+ years experience as a Sales Manager in a hotel/resort environment SalesForce (Delphi) experience preferred Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form with the public as well as other team members. Essential statistical and analytical skills required to identify revenue opportunities and shortfalls. Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally to achieve goals. Ability to thrive in a multi-tasked and fast-paced environment. Positive attitude and good communication skills Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service Excellent grooming standards Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations Ability to work under pressure and under own initiative Experience in a sales role with a proven track record of achieving sales goals Knowledge of local market Must have a clean, valid Driver's License
Compensation Range: The compensation for this position is $62,400.00/Yr. - $68,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
