Job Summary:
The Senior Underwriter works independently providing technical support and service to the Account Management team.
Essential Functions:
Gathering account and historical data and preparing monthly reporting package for assigned clientsReviewing carrier renewals and related carrier interactionCreating budget projections and premium equivalent rates for assigned clientsCreate mid-year pre-renewal projections for fully insured clients on an as needed basisPrepare ad hoc claims analysis as neededCompetencies & Qualifications:
Ability to develop strong relationships, both with the clients and with the CSG teamKnowledge of carrier processes and plan designsStrong oral and written communication skillsProficient in the use of office databases and presentation software (Microsoft Office Suite)Organization and attention to detailFlexible, multi-task abilitiesAbility to work in both a team environment and independentlyEducation & Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferredMinimum of 10 years of underwriting experience with a health and welfare carrier or broker providing account management services and support to clients of 100 lives or more
