HR Generalist

Job Description:
As an
HR Generalist,
you will play a key role in supporting HR functions and ensuring the smooth operation of all human resources processes. With 3-5 years of general HR experience, you will bring expertise in benefits administration, regulatory compliance, policy development, and employee relations. This position requires a solid understanding of HR best practices, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in development of HR programs related to benefits administration, new hire orientation, compensation, performance management, employee relations and investigations, training and recruiting.Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR Director.Ensure compliance with relevant HR laws and regulations, including but not limited to AAP, FMLA, ADA, and EEOC requirements.Manage employee leaves to include FMLA, ADA.Conduct exit interviews and analysis.Provide excellent customer service to employees, addressing inquiries and concerns related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.Assist with onboarding and orientation processes for new hires, ensuring a positive and informative experience.Support employee's and program managers in day to day activities.Assist with compliance reporting.Maintains knowledge of organizational and departmental policies and procedures, and specific contract requirements such as Wage Determinations or Union AgreementsUtilize HRIS (UGK preferred) to maintain accurate employee records and generate reports as needed.Support learning and development initiatives, including training program coordination and employee skills development.Special projects as required, leaning on background HR knowledge.Identify and implement initiatives to deliver HR excellence.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.3-5 years of experience in HR, with specific experience in benefits administration, regulatory compliance, and policy development.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Knowledge of HRIS systems; experience with UKG (or similar HR software) preferred.Understanding of HR laws and regulations, particularly within the government contracting industry.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.Comfortable being on camera and in front of small groups (.e orientation, training)Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters.HR Certification, preferred not required (PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP)
