A public accounting firm in New York City is actively seeking an experienced International Tax professional to join their staff as their new International Tax Director / Principal.
Responsibilities:
The International Tax Director / Principal will:Oversee and drive multiple on-going projects through effective, coordinated, development-oriented collaboration with professional staffDevelop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues in the core federal tax group and other practice areas in order to support the US international tax compliance and consulting needs of their clientsDevelop and maintain strong client relationships in order to deepen overall understanding of client profiles and needsOversee and review US international tax reporting prepared by others for completeness, accuracy and opportunity identificationPerform tax research and collaborate with other subject matter experts in order to develop novel solutions to complex client challengesAdvise clients and their stakeholders on cross-border tax planning matters while helping them understand and navigate the relevant decision-making processSupport ITS Practice leadership in practice-related and firm initiativesPerform other duties, as neededQualifications:
8+ years of International Tax experienceBachelor's DegreeJD / LLM and/or CPA / MSTStrong knowledge of a broad range of US International and Domestic Tax law provisionsMicrosoft Excel proficientSolid analytical and project management skillsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly motivated
