JOB SUMMARY

The Procurement Manager analyzes, streamlines, negotiates, executes and manages Company purchases of products and services.

S/he minimizes the Company’s cost of operations and maximizes its return on investment, while facilitating its efficient and profitable operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. PROCUREMENT.

Plans, organizes, directs, and controls Company procurement of all products and services except real estate, employee benefits, inventory and any products and services for resale. Negotiates or participates in the negotiation of complex management requests for equipment, supplies, and services.

2. POLICIES. Creates and monitors purchasing policies and procedures.

Develops and implements vendor evaluation system, with appropriate negotiation and purchasing practices to maximize quality, price, delivery, and service.

3. DATA ANALYTICS.

a. Develops and maintains metric data, key performance indicators (KPIs), and weekly/monthly reports to measure performance, improve procurement processes, reduce costs, improve efficiencies and profits of operation.

b. Provides analytical support on projects and related procurement proposals. Gathers accurate costs, volume, and geographic data to perform detailed solution design on procurement, construction, and other related projects.

4. ASSET MANAGEMENT.

Develops, monitors and implements asset tracking system with life cycle cost analysis, replacement scheduling, preventive maintenance, and/or return on investment.

Coordinates timely maintenance and replacement with operational managers.

5. STANDARDS. Recruits and maintains high quality supplier base to provide products and services at optimum price, while maintaining the highest standard of ethics and conduct.

6. Other projects and assignments as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 to 8 years procurement experience

• Bachelor's Degree in business, supply chain management or equivalent work experience

• Financial acumen, with working knowledge of accounting software systems, e.g. Domo, Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint and Word

• Excellent communication skills.

Ability to effectively communicate with individuals/groups of diverse backgrounds and skill levels

• Strong analytical skills and orientation towards data-driven solutions, problem solving, decision making, and critical thinking

• Task oriented with strong organizational, project, and time management skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position involves both sedentary and other work.

For part of the shift, s/he will work at a desk in an office setting, doing paperwork, typing, filing, and key entry on a Video Display Terminal.

Extensive telephone and correspondence work required on a daily basis.

For part of the shift, s/he will stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach, moving about the dealership facility to communicate with managers, employees, and customers.

S/he will be required to travel within and outside the State, both by car and by airplane on a monthly basis.

Will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
