Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney

A law firm in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will possess a distinguished academic background and significant experience in real estate finance law, preferably from a large law firm. This role requires exceptional writing and communication skills, as well as experience with large structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity. The successful candidate will be adept at managing transactions from inception through closing and post-closing, including secondary market repurchase facilities and exit strategies.Duties:Represent lenders in large structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity.Oversee all aspects of transactions from inception through closing and post-closing.Manage secondary market repurchase facilities and develop effective exit strategies.Handle asset management and workout scenarios as required.Draft, negotiate, and review complex transaction documents and related agreements.Provide strategic legal advice based on comprehensive research and analysis of real estate finance issues.Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction processes.Prepare detailed reports, correspondence, and presentations for internal and external use.Stay current with legal developments and market trends impacting real estate finance.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.3+ years of broad experience in real estate finance law, preferably in a large law firm environment.Demonstrated experience in loan origination work for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions.Proven ability to manage transactions from inception through closing, including post-closing activities.Experience with secondary market repurchase facilities and exit strategies is highly desirable.Asset management and workout experience is preferred.High level of academic achievement and substantial large law firm experience.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the Bar in Tennessee or willingness to obtain.Skills:Excellent writing and communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex legal documents.High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Ability to provide strategic legal advice and manage complex transactions efficiently.Benefits Offered:Medical InsuranceLife InsuranceDisability InsuranceVoluntary Insurance including Vision401(k) PlanPaid Time Off
