A law firm in Seattle, WA, is seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney. The successful candidate will have a distinguished academic background and substantial experience in real estate finance law, ideally gained at a large law firm. This role requires excellent writing and communication skills, as well as experience in handling large structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity. The role also demands expertise in managing transactions from inception through closing and post-closing, with experience in secondary market repurchase facilities and exit strategies being highly desirable.Duties:Represent lenders in large structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity.Manage all aspects of transactions from inception through closing and post-closing.Oversee and execute secondary market repurchase facilities and develop comprehensive exit strategies.Handle asset management and workout scenarios as necessary.Draft, negotiate, and review complex transaction documents and related agreements.Provide strategic legal advice based on thorough research and analysis of real estate finance issues.Collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction processes.Prepare detailed reports, correspondence, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.Stay informed about legal developments and market trends affecting real estate finance.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.3+ years of broad experience in real estate finance law, preferably in a large law firm environment.Demonstrated experience in loan origination work for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions.Proven ability to manage transactions from inception to closing, including post-closing.Experience with secondary market repurchase facilities and exit strategies is highly desirable.Asset management and workout experience is preferred.High level of academic achievement and substantial experience in a large law firm setting.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the Bar in Washington or willingness to obtain.Skills:Excellent writing and communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex legal documents.High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects efficiently.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.Capacity to provide strategic advice and manage complex transactions effectively.
