Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney

A law firm in San Diego, CA, is seeking a highly qualified Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess high academic achievement, substantial experience in real estate finance law at a large law firm, and exceptional writing and communication skills.Duties:Manage and run transactions on behalf of lenders from inception through closing and post-closing.Handle loan origination work for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity.Provide asset management and workout services.Conduct secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies.Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents related to real estate finance transactions.Advise clients on legal and regulatory matters related to real estate finance.Collaborate with other attorneys, clients, and external parties to ensure smooth and efficient transaction processes.Requirements:Minimum of 3+ years of broad real estate finance experience.Extensive experience in loan origination work for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions.Preferred experience in mezzanine loans, preferred equity, asset management, and workout services.Proven ability to run transactions on behalf of lenders from inception through closing and post-closing.Solid experience in secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Must be licensed to practice law in the state of California.Skills:Superb writing and communication skills.High level of academic achievement.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational and time management abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
