A law firm based in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of excellence in real estate finance law, including substantial experience in loan origination for structured commercial real estate transactions. This role requires exceptional academic credentials, large law firm experience, and strong writing and communication skills.Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage real estate finance transactions from inception through closing and post-closing, including secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies.Handle loan origination work for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity.Provide legal support in asset management and workout scenarios.Draft and review complex legal documents related to real estate finance transactions.Collaborate with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders to ensure successful transaction outcomes.Conduct thorough legal research and provide strategic legal advice to clients.Prepare and negotiate loan agreements, credit facilities, and related documentation.Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and firm policies throughout the transaction process.RequirementsJD from an accredited law school.Minimum of 3 years of broad real estate finance experience in a large law firm setting.Demonstrated experience in handling large structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity.Experience in asset management and workout situations is preferred.Proven ability to manage transactions on behalf of lenders, including secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies.Education and CertificationsJuris Doctor (JD) degree required.Admission to the State Bar of California.SkillsHigh level of academic achievement.Exceptional writing and communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in handling complex real estate finance transactions.Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.Benefits OfferedMedical InsuranceLife InsuranceDisability InsuranceVision Insurance (voluntary)401(k) PlanPaid Time Off
