A law firm in Raleigh, NC, is seeking an experienced Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and significant experience in real estate finance law from a large law firm. This role requires superb writing and communication skills and hands-on experience with large structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity. The successful candidate will manage transactions from inception through closing and post-closing, including secondary market repurchase facilities and exit strategies.Duties:Represent lenders in large structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity.Manage all phases of transactions from inception through closing and post-closing.Oversee secondary market repurchase facilities and devise effective exit strategies.Handle asset management and workout scenarios as necessary.Draft, negotiate, and review complex transaction documents and related agreements.Provide strategic legal advice based on thorough research and analysis of real estate finance issues.Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction processes.Prepare detailed reports, correspondence, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.Stay updated on legal developments and market trends affecting real estate finance.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.3+ years of broad experience in real estate finance law, preferably from a large law firm.Demonstrated experience in loan origination work for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions.Proven ability to manage transactions from inception to closing, including post-closing activities.Experience with secondary market repurchase facilities and exit strategies is highly desirable.Asset management and workout experience is preferred.High level of academic achievement and substantial large law firm experience.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the Bar in North Carolina or willingness to obtain.Skills:Excellent writing and communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficient in drafting and negotiating complex legal documents.High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to work collaboratively within a team.Ability to provide strategic legal advice and manage complex transactions efficiently.
