Family Attorney

Fort Worth office of our client seeks family attorney with 1 year of experience. The candidate will manage a family law caseload and provide direct supervision to a paralegal.Responsibilities:Monitor open cases for activity.Review open and closed cases for proper recordkeeping and file maintenance.File petitions, answers, and counter petitions.Conduct mediation and pre-trial discovery.Take deposition testimony.File post-judgment motions, bills of review, and appeals.Conduct hearings, trials before the court, and jury trials.Conduct regular reviews of open cases.Provide co-counseling assistance to other attorneys of the Family Department.Participate in departmental meetings.Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, other attorneys, court employees, and judicial officers.Conduct employee performance evaluations and handle corrective action or disciplinary issues with the assistance of the Supervising Attorney, Family Department, and the Chief Legal Officer.Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervising Attorney, Family Department, or the Chief Legal Officer.Qualifications:Licensed to practice law in Texas.Family law board certification is preferred.Guardian Ad Litem certification is preferred.Company info:BCG Attorney Search10777 Westheimer, Suite 1100Houston, TexasUnited States 77042Phone:
