A Fort Worth, TX law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Attorney to join their team. This role involves managing a family law caseload, supervising a team of paralegals, and representing clients in various legal proceedings. The ideal candidate will have a solid commitment to family law, excellent trial and advocacy skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other attorneys and court personnel.Key Responsibilities:Manage a family law caseload, ensuring timely and effective handling of cases.Provide direct supervision and mentorship to a team of paralegals.Monitor active caseload for deadlines and required actions.Review open and closed cases for proper recordkeeping and file maintenance.Review and edit drafted original petitions, answers, and counterpetitions.Complete and draft pre-trial discovery documents.Represent clients as the lead attorney (1st chair) in bench and jury trials.Attend case-related proceedings such as mediation and depositions.File post-judgment motions, bills of review, and appeals.Collaborate with other attorneys in the family law department to provide assistance and support when needed.Participate actively in departmental meetings.Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, other attorneys, court employees, and judicial officers.Conduct employee performance evaluations and address corrective actions or disciplinary issues with the assistance of the managing attorney and chief legal officer.Perform other duties as assigned by the managing attorney or chief legal officer.Requirements:Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.2-3 years of relevant legal experience, with a strong commitment to family law.Demonstrated trial and advocacy skills with prior litigation experience.Ability to occasionally travel as required.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership in good standing with the Texas State Bar.Skills:Strong legal research and writing skills.Excellent oral and written communication abilities.Proficient in legal software and case management tools.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
