This is a remote volunteer role for a Public Relations Specialist. Enjoy the freedom of contributing remotely to AHHM's mission and at a schedule of your leisure.As a Public Relations Specialist Volunteer, you will be responsible for managing our organization's public image and enhancing our brand visibility.Your role will involve developing and implementing PR strategies, crafting press releases and media pitches, cultivating relationships with journalists and media outlets, managing social media channels, and monitoring public perception of our organization.You'll work closely with our marketing and communications team to ensure consistent messaging and effective communication with our stakeholders.What's Required:
Commit to a minimum of 3 months of volunteering: This approach allows volunteers the flexibility to reassess their commitment after the initial period, without feeling obligated to continue if their circumstances or desires change. By adopting this approach, both the volunteer and the foundation can ensure a more effective use of time and resources, avoiding potential disruptions to ongoing projects, aiming for a mutually beneficial experience.Proven experience in public relations, communications, or a related field, with a strong understanding of PR principles and practices.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for various audiences and channels.Strong interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain relationships with media contacts, influencers, and community partners.Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools, with the ability to leverage them to enhance brand visibility and engagement.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive and creative approach to problem-solvingHave Questions or Need Accommodation?
