Job Description:
A non-profit organization is seeking a Health Underwriter to join their health benefit services division. This professional will be responsible for new and renewal risk assessment for medical, dental and vision coverage, as well as life and disability benefits. This individual can live in Ohio, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, or Michigan. The position is a hybrid position in Illinois.
Responsibilities:
Analyze various medical plans, utilizing claims history and demographics, to assess the risk and required rates for prospective and renewal quotes, as well as calculating plan and benefit costs for the recommended plan design alternatives.
Requirements:
8+ years of group health underwriting experience
Bachelor's degree
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe
