We're hiring a staff software engineer to join us onsite in San Francisco. You'll build critical systems, services, and customer-facing features end-to-end. You'll be doing a lot of zero to one, breaking down high-level goals, diving into ambiguity and experimenting to find the best solutions. As an early employee, you'll also contribute heavily to building the company's team and culture.

A strong desire to directly understand customer problems and design solutions for themExperience working with data models in relational databases"T-shaped" skillset: shallow knowledge across the stack and depth of experience in at least one areaExperience breaking down, planning, and executing ambiguous projectsThoughtful perspective on engineering operations best practices (e.g. incident retrospectives, sprint planning, technical design)5+ years of experience as a software engineerFamiliarity or interest in Typescript, React, GraphQL, Postgres, or Next.jsNot required: insurance knowledge - we promise, you'll pick up the necessary pieces fast!Our team & philosophy
