CHAI has an immediate opening for a Program Coordinator to oversee the development and implementation of wellness and engagement initiatives for the new Edward A. Myerberg Center at the Owings Mills Jewish Community Center (JCC), branded as the “Myerberg at the J!” program. This role involves marketing programming to active older adult JCC members, managing engagement, enrollment and retention of program attendees, and cultivating instructors and classes. The coordinator will also collaborate closely with a JCC Liaison to gain insights into JCC members. The Program Coordinator will contribute to enhancing the overall health and well-being of the community through thoughtful program development and strategic outreach efforts. This position requires a proactive, organized individual with a passion for community engagement and a dedication to enhancing the quality of life for older adults through innovative program development and effective participant management.BASIC HOURS:

Contractual – through June 2025 with the option to extendIn this role you will:

Develop and implement the “Myerberg at the J” program to meet the needs of our membersAssist in recruiting and scheduling instructorsAssist in recruiting and enrolling participantsServe as Myerberg representative at JCC location and collaborate closely with the JCC teamEnsure members receive high quality services and assistance as neededAssist in organizing special events and programmingMaintain and report data on attendance, participation and member evaluationsPromote events at Myerberg and implement special programming for Myerberg members community events at the JCCOffer various ad hoc programs tailored to the target demographicCoordinate with Myerberg and JCC teams for marketing efforts, including social media and web contentCollect data to support the retention and expansion of the programFamiliarize yourself with and share resources from The Associated system and community with participantsQualifications:

Previous experience in a similar role or in a community-based organizationExperience in program development or event planningInterest and ability to work well with older adultsCPR and First Aid Certification requiredAbility to work on his/her feet for the entire shiftProficient in Microsoft Office and database experienceStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team$30/hour for contract ending June 30, 2025Ideal Candidates will have the following Skills:
