The Baltimore-Ashkelon Partnership (BAP) Kesher Cohort 3.0 is for adults 45+ interested in exploring Jewish identity and building connections with peers in our partnership city of Ashkelon, Israel. As the Kesher cohort facilitator, you will have the opportunity to continue these long-lasting, deep relationships between Baltimoreans and Ashkelonians.This year-long program incorporates both in-person local cohort programming as well as virtual sessions for both cohorts to inspire conversations around Jewish identity, culture and peoplehood. The cohorts will travel to each other’s communities, spending a week in home hospitality alongside curated experiences to share the warmth and beauty of each other’s cultures.The Program Coordinator is a grant funded, part-time (15 hours per week), contract position from July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025. This person will be responsible for helping to plan the curriculum, facilitating, and creating content for the monthly sessions and ensuring the program objectives are being met. The Program Coordinator will work with the Kesher program chair, Aviva Schwartz, Manager, Israel and Global Initiatives, and lay leadership to ensure the sessions are engaging and are meeting the objectives of the Israel experience and the hosting of the Ashkelon cohort in Baltimore.Who You Are:

You have an understanding of and passion for Jewish identity, the Jewish people and Israel.You have traveled to Israel at least once in the past 10 years.You have excellent relationship development skills.You have experience as an informal or formal Jewish educator (e.g., group facilitator, Day School teacher, Hebrew school teacher, camp counselor, etc.).You have facilitation experience and strong communication skills and can manage complex conversations within a diverse group.You have an understanding of the Kesher target audience.What You Will Do:

Plan and implement a one-year curriculum for Kesher Cohort 3.0 in partnership with the Kesher Chair and the Kesher Facilitator and Co-Chair in Ashkelon.Facilitate the in-person and virtual cohort sessions.Provide content and planning suggestions for the two exchange experiences, one in Baltimore and one in Ashkelon.Work with the Partnership, Israel and Global Initiatives and Associated Community Planning and Allocations staff to ensure goals of the program are being met.Attend Community Planning and Allocations and Israel and Global Initiative team meetings, when applicable.Anticipated hours – 15 hours a week, with the understanding that some weeks will be busier than others, especially around recruitment time and prior to each delegation visit.Implement an evaluation process including mid-year and end of the year evaluation forms to the Baltimore-Ashkelon Partnership.Work in collaboration with the Community Planning and Allocations Executive Secretary in handling logistics and planning for the Baltimore delegation and local programs.Qualifications and Skills:

Informal or formal adult Jewish education experience.Superior oral and written communication.Facilitation experience preferred.Understanding of the Baltimore Jewish community.Salary:

$12,000 (based on one-year grant cycle)Application Process:
