By emphasizing cutting-edge and transformational research along with a commitment to the success of all students, UIC embodies the dynamic, vibrant and engaged urban university.Description:Project Description:The Tsukasaki Laboratory, Department of Pharmacology and Regenerative Medicine, University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine, is a research laboratory focused on pulmonary immune dynamics supported by an NIH PO1/RO1 grant. Our lab seeks to understand the molecular/cellular dynamics of neutrophils, vascular endothelial cells, and macrophages in lung inflammatory diseases (e.g., acute respiratory distress syndrome) using lung intravital imaging. We are also developing a stabilized lung intravital imaging method using computer-vision techniques and applying it to metabolic imaging and oxygen/reactive oxygen imaging methods in lung tissue.Job Description:The researcher will conduct lung immunological research using in vivo imaging of living mice and other biological techniques.
