Job Summary

The anticipated duration of this assignment is 6 months.

Specific job duties include:Pull educational reports (with guidance/training), checking the progress of students on site, scheduling for MedEd Directors, and sending reminders for grades and evaluations.Work on Medical Education program tasks, such as basic administrative duties including data reports/records, some events planning/logistics coordination, back up to scheduling, etc.

Coordinate implementation of medical education program competencies, performance and program evaluations, and trainee exams.*

Assist with logistics and event coordination for medical education related events and conferences*

Assist with clerkship faculty director calendaring. Assist in projecting costs, monitoring the budget and financial tracking for medical education programs and related activities*

Coordinate record keeping and processing of all required documents, maintaining complete files for medical education students and volunteer clinical professors*

Education Research Projects: assist with coordinating program's education research projects*

Serve as point person for prospective medical education program participants; answer questions and disseminate program information*

Create documentation to medical education program participants and faculty regarding trainee evaluations, curriculum evaluations, and rotation experience evaluations.*

Generate regular reports assessing individual program statistics, overall effectiveness.*

Foster an environment of collaboration between various medical education specialties and programs.*

Participate in work groups, teams, task forces and committees to support ongoing medical education program functions.*

Maintain program websites to ensure accuracy of information and implements new ideas on ways to improve communication of program requirements and deadlines.Urgent need for additional support with MedEd team in OBGYN.

Department Description

UCSF's Temporary Employment Program (TEP) recruits and hires temporary employees for immediate clerical and technical support services to UCSF Departments and various off-campus locations. UCSF departments deploy temporary employees to work on special projects, fill in for regular employees who are on vacation or leave, or to temporarily fill a vacant position during recruitment. Frequently temporary employees become successful candidates for career and limited appointment positions.

Required Qualifications

Basic knowledge of relevant policies and regulatory requirements. Basic knowledge of health professions education industry.Preferred Basic knowledge of administrative analysis and operations research.Acquiring skills in developing and implementing processes and systemsCommunication skills; includes verbal, written and active listening.Service oriented and responsive to questions and requests.Ability to interact in a professional, resourceful, and courteous mannerDemonstrated interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to develop working relationships within department and with learnersExcellent organizational skills, analytical, and demonstrated attention to detail.Ability to work with extremely complex faculty calendars / schedules requires extremely well organized and detail oriented precision.Knowledge of educational technology and systems.Ability to troubleshoot and triages related technology issues. Preferred Investigative, data analysis, and reporting skills. Ability to generate computer reports, checking for errors, correcting and submitting accurate reports.Skills include entering, maintaining, extracting, and analyzing data in electronic systems.3-5 years experience in educational administration and/or project coordination (such as logistics or coordination of large to small meetings/events or trainings).
