- Bay Shore Camp and Family Ministries, Sebewaing, MIBay Shore Camp & Family Ministries has been providing Camping for Youth and Families for over 100 years! It’s Christian Camping at its Best!Rooted in the tradition of the Evangelical Church, and the doctrines of John Wesley, our mission is to provide an invitation for all people to experience Jesus Christ and to nurture them in their relationship with Him.Our vision includes irresistible camp programming, a facility filled to capacity and accessibility to all regardless of their financial circumstances.These core values drive us towards our mission and vision:We honor our heritage of over a century of effective ministry that brought spiritual revival and renewal to many generations.Building on our heritage and tradition, we strive to be innovative in programming and ministry practices, keeping the Gospel presentation relevant to current culture.We will reflect the character of Christ, exhibiting integrity in our work and our relationships with vendors, guests, co-workers, neighbors and all whom we encounter.We care deeply for the well-being of our guests by providing a sanctuary that is socially, emotionally and physically safe so that they are free to engage the truth of the Gospel.Light hearts, laughter and fun are an expression of the joy of our salvation and are embraced in programming for all ages.Recognizing that all resources are provided for the glory of God, we will exercise faithful stewardship over financial matters, our time and our talents.Bay Shore Camp’s recent expansion and growth as a multi-site ministry is prompting a need for reorganization. While we navigate a series of staff moves, we are receiving applications for several positions including Program Director. The Program Director reports directly to the Executive Director.Essential responsibilities include:Oversee summer camp operationCoordinate the hiring of all seasonal summer staffSupervise all summer program staffOversee seasonal outreach programsImplement outdoor education programsCoordinate training events for volunteer Deans, summer staff and cabin leadersCoordinate with Guest Services the development and implementation of sponsored programmed retreatsResearch and recommend new program activities and sponsored programmed retreatsWork with Board committees as necessaryCooperate with the Marketing department to promote Bay Shore to potential campers, churches and communitiesCommunicate effectively with various populations (i.e. volunteers, children & youth, parents, pastors, etc.)The minimum requirements and qualifications include:Attitude of service and a commitment to Bay Shore Camp and its vision, mission and core valuesPossess an evangelical Christian commitment and lifestyle consistent with the organization’s goalsFluent communication skills to include verbal, written and electronicPrevious experience in a Christian camp settingExperience with program development in a Christian ministry settingPossess an entrepreneurial spiritSolid understanding of licensing and certification requirements including State of Michigan, ACCT, Water SafetyAbility to supervise employees and volunteers, and manage a departmentAbility to work without direct supervisionAbility to undertake essential responsibilities above in a timely, friendly, respectful, detail-oriented mannerThis is a full-time, year-round management position, eligible for the camp’s benefit package including health insurance, meals when being served, onsite housing and paid vacation/sick/holiday leave.To apply, send a resume and salary requirements via email to:
