Supply Chain Planner

SUMMARY:
The Master Scheduler/Demand Planner relies on trend forecasting and demand to predict our inventory requirements based on the potential needs of our customer base. You will communicate with our Manufacturing facilities about current and future production schedules, Procurement Specialists to ensure packaging needs, discuss lead times with Customer Service, and inform Logistics of interruption of supply.To succeed in this role, you should be professional, highly analytical, and possess excellent communication skills. The successful candidate should also have an in-depth knowledge of advanced mathematics and forecasting policies. Our ideal applicant has a bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field.KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:Assist in all demand planning duties including estimating future product demand, analyzing inventory flow, and planning production for our manufacturing facilities.Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.Serve as primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, logistics, and manufacturing departments.Participate in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments.Lead additional planning meetings with sales, production facilities, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff.Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, production capacity, and inventory levels.Submit weekly production schedules to manufacturing facilities to ensure target attainment and adherence levels.Assist with procurement and inventory control to ensure proper flow of materials.Optimize inventory performance via trend forecasting and demand classifications.Update information in our planning software.Manage the preparation and analysis of material forecasts, interpreting MRP output and scheduling production.Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.Six Sigma Certification is ideal.Supply chain experience is preferred.Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.Experience with Oracle EBS and other Business Suite software preferred.Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge needed.Capability to work in a fast-paced environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Computer proficiency, particularly with Excel and other Windows-based programs.Location:
